Sialkot, 24th February, 2012: Colgate-Palmolive (Pak) limited held a ‘Colgate MaxFresh Music Blast’ concert of Strings in Sialkot. The concert was held at Cathedral School No.1, Christian Town Road, Sialkot Cantt. The concert was scheduled to start at 7.30 pm, but the gates got opened at around 8.30 pm. It was a free-to-attend event, but tickets were not available on the spot only it was given to the people who took part in the campaigns held at various colleges in Sialkot. Also, they allowed people to get an online ticket (e-ticket) from their fan page for free.

Injustice with Strings

As we reported earlier, that MTV India is going to air the follow up of Coke Studio @ MTV, which will be called MTV Unplugged. The first season of the show was supposed to feature some Pakistani artists like, Strings & Atif Aslam but they aired the show without them, and they haven’t given any proper reason for not including the artists.
MTV Unplugged concept is to feature some of the most famous artists, and make them re-interpret their songs using acoustic instruments only. That means musicians will re-make their songs, in a manner that they only use acoustic instruments, merely instruments without any electric involvement are called acoustic.

Salman Ahmad is celebrating Junoon’s 20th Anniversary, where different bands and artists will be re-making junoon songs in their own way just for the sake of being the part of Junoon’s 20th Anniversary Album. There was news that Shoaib Mansoor will be writing some of the songs for Junoon’s 20th Anniversary Album. It’s to inform that the recording of Shoaib Mansoor’s penned song ‘Chand Sitara‘ has already been started.

Atif Aslam & Strings the most famous musicians / bands from Pakistan are all-set to perform acoustic sessions in the Indian version of Mtv Unplugged, an famous music series. It’s a follow up of Coke Studio @ MTV and will go on-air in October.
The Indian version of MTV Unplugged is an acoustic performance show by known and famous musicians from all over the world. These are the live sessions created by musicians, along with the MTV Unplugged team and come-up with excellent acoustic sessions of their songs. There will be many Indian musicians as well in this music series, like Rabi Shergill, Eupohria & Shilpa Rao.

The lack of full five nominations for the Music Categories is reflective of the lack of releases during the year 2010 and the Music Jury preferred to 
leave blanks than recognise mediocre work. Bands and Singers released Singles rather than Albums, there were no concerts, and most of their work was overseas notably in Indian films.
The handful of singers and bands who did notable work was Kaavish, Mauj, Seige, Areib Azhar, Shallum and Zara, Symt, while Strings and Atif Aslam collaborated on Ab Khud Kuch Karna Parayga. Coke Studio and its growing impact on the music industry dominated the discussion during the Jury Session.
