Bol fame Manzar Sehbai heads to Bollywood!

Bol has been very inspiring to a lot of people all over the world, it has set new records in Pakistan. Bol has got wonderful reviews from all over the world. The first Pakistani movie to do such a huge business after a long time. The director Shoaib Mansoor has worked tirelessly with his team in making this movie a success and the outcome is in front of everyone.

Manzar Sehbai who did the lead role in the movie, of  Hakeem Sahab has impressed tons of people all over the world with his bold looks and the way he speaks each dialogue. We have found out that he has been offered two bollywood movies, and he is ready to do one. The movie is called ‘musalman‘ and the shooting will take place in Lucknow and Bombay.

There was news that Shoaib Mansoor will be writing some of the songs for Junoon’s 20th Anniversary Album. It’s to inform that the recording of Shoaib Mansoor’s penned song ‘Chand Sitara‘ has already been started.

Sunil and Krishika Lulla of Eros International, hosted a series of special screenings of the upcoming movie Bol directed by acclaimed Pakistani director Shoaib Mansoor at a suburban theatre in Mumbai. The film, which releases on August 31st, is a gripping drama based on the plight of the girl child. Krishika Lulla says about the film, “This is a fabulous film that deals with gender issues in Pakistan, questioning the reasoning behind considering the birth of a female child as a bane.”

Naseeruddin Shah regrets not doing Mansoor’s BOL

Shoaib Mansoor’s full length urdu feature film, Bol which has won the hearts of millions of people in Pakistan is all set to release worldwide on 31st August, 2011. Bol will be distributed and released by Eros Entertainment in India and rest of the world, early screenings of the movie has already started and is catching the attention of people in India.

One such actor who saw the movie and absolutely loved it was veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. News is that the actor, who has worked with Shoaib in his previously acclaimed ‘Khuda Kay Liye was offered the pivotal role of the father ‘Hakim Sahib’ done by Pakistani actor Manzar Sehbai in the movie, but could not do it as he had already signed another movie at the same time.

01. When did you got to know that you can really act?

An. No idea. Just try to locate and ask those who were very close to me in days of my childhood.

02. What was your reaction when you were first approached for the lead role in Shoaib Mansoor’s movie?
An. I felt humbled as i always feel in situations like this.

03. How was your experience working with Shoaib Mansoor?
An. He gave me all the space on this earth to understand approach and execute my job in the film, it was a very generous gesture on his part.

04. One tip you would like to give to Humaima?

Shoaib Mansoor as the lyricist for Junoon 20th Anniversary Album

Shoaib Mansoor, the name which is known for excellent productions and stories. Who is the maker of some of the best movies produced in Pakistan, who is trying really hard for the revival of cinema in Pakistan. His recently released full length Urdu feature film, Bol has broke all the previous records set by any movie in Pakistan.

Shoaib Mansoor has till now released two full length movies Khuda Kay Liye and Bol. He is an excellent lyricist as well, he wrote the lyrics for most of the songs of his movies. Shoaib Mansoor has written, composed and produced most of Vital Signs songs like, Dil Dil Pakistan and Aitebar.

1. Your name. What does it mean?
A: It means to live a long prosperous life

2. What do you do?
A: Im a college student, currently doing my Bachelors in Studio Art from Univeristy of Vermont. Apart from that I play the guitar and sing and also compose my own music. Due to that Im also taking courses in World Music and beyond. I also take a deep interest and practice photography and painting.

3. How did Shoaib Mansoor reach you?
A: I started of directing and writing plays for my school and ended up acting in my first commercial play that was Shah Sharabeel’s bombay dreams that took place about 3 years ago. Shah Sharahbeel gave me a call about a year back before the shooting started for BOL and said that Shoaib Mansoor was interested for a guy who could do this role and he said that i should go meet him. So auditioned at Shoaib Mansoor’s office the next day and got selected for the role the same very day.

Ali Azmat & Meesha Shafi acting and singing for Bilal Lashari’s ‘Waar’

Waar is Bilal Lashari’s upcoming movie. Which is already in a lot of hype because Ali Azmat and Meesha Shafi (ex-vocalist Overload) will be making their debut in this movie. Waar is an action/thriller movie. The film gives a fresh and stylized look at the current situation that Pakistan is experiencing. The movie is inspired by true events. In this movie the crew have pushed the outside of the envelop of film production techniques in Pakistan. The film will definately put Pakistan Film Industry on the world map. The movie is going to be a visual treat to the cinema goers and the plot of the movie shall take them on a roller coaster ride.

Bol set to release in India on Eid

The film, which is the first by the talented director after his critically acclaimed and award-winning Khuda Kay Liye, released in Pakistan on June 24. According to indiaglitz.com, the film has been declared a super hit as it has received a tremendous opening and grossed about Rs4.9 million on the first day, which is more than Ready and My Name is Khan grossed on their first day in Pakistan.

Khuda Kay Liye — a film is about the life of Muslims after 9/11 — was the first Pakistani film to be officially released in India after many years, and now Mansoor is confident that Bol will also hook the Indian audience.

Goher Mumtaz Posted about Atif’s role in Bol?

Goher Mumtaz from the famous band Jal, the band from which Atif Aslam started his music career along with Goher Mumtaz. They released their first song under the band Jal called “Addat” which was a massive hit all around the world. Atif Aslam left the band Jal, and started doing singles. Whereas Jal stayed there and more band members were added.
