Qayaas is the first progressive alternative rock band from Pakistan, a country where traditionally music has been 
looked down upon rather than being celebrated as an art form. This gives our music a sense of rebellion and a rallying cry for pathos. We are confident that we’ll be able to start a new chapter in the country’s rock and roll history.
We earlier reported about their album – “Uss Paar” available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, etc. Qayaas is from Islamabad, and they give all their islamabadi’s fans to buy their album CD from their nearest CD Shop. Below is the list of shops in Islamabad where their album is available.

Noori is launching their own Record Label, it is called BIY (Believe In Yourself). Noori is set to release Qayaas’s album, as their first release. They are very excited about their Record Label, it is not only for themselves but also for other musicians too.

Qayaas, Pakistan’s first progressive alterative rock band who won the Rolling Stones/Jack Daniels Best Rock Band 2010 from Pakistan. They released their album, with 13 songs. The album was scheduled to release on 16th of April, 2011 by a new label BIY (Believe in Yourself). But for some reason their album has made its way to CD Baby, Amazon & iTunes and can be bought for $9.99.

Qayaas Giving Soundtracks for Shaan’s Film Directed by Lashari

Qayaas will be giving away three songs in a film directed by Bilal Lashari and starring Shaan. This will be one of it’s kind

project as it will be first complete feature film by Lashari who has previously only directed music videos and short films.
Lashari on shooting for the film said

Qayaas Wins Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Award for the Best Pakistani Band

This year the awards have been extended to India’s neighboring countries Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Bands from both
Share Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Awards in association with Rolling Stone presents The Award Winners Tour.
countries were given the opportunity to apply for the best band of the year in their respective countries. The winning band from Pakistan Qayaas’s music, in its own words, is about “inspirational moments, relationships or life in general”. Qayaas which will also be performing Live at Hard Rock Cafe on 16th December in New Delhi along with one of India’s best band “Half Step Down”, has flown to India a few days ago.
