A graduate student of Multimedia, QB (Quratulain Balouch) is well known by her cover ‘Ankhian Nu Rein Dey‘, has stepped into the Pakistan music industry after her appearance in the remarkable COKE STUDIO! And from here it all starts for QB. She recently came back to Pakistan from USA after years, and has collaborated with Khawar Jawad, Saad sultan, Goher Mumtaz so far, and yet more to come! Her 1st Album is due end of this year.
The third annual Pakistan achievement awards were held on September 16 in Britain and included 500 nominations for 11 award categories. QB won the ‘Pakistan’s Youngest Achievement Award UK and Europe 2011’. These awards has been presented to some of the most distinguished people, like famed boxer Amir khan.
Balouch said while talking to Express Tribune,
“I was approached for the Pakistan Youngest Achievement Award UK and Europe 2011 and was thrilled to get an award that is recognized internationally”.
QB has been really lucky, she returned to Pakistan and released an audio song which was a cover of “Akhein Nu Rein De” on Internet, the song turned out to be a turning point for her. Her excellent vocals impressed various musicians, and she was selected for this year’s coke studio sessions. QB told Express Tribune,
“I find it hard to completely change the overall image of being traditional because of my voice, although I agree my music is totally different from how I present myself, I’d rather keep it natural than make alterations in my appearance”
then she further added,
“Some people have it ingrained in them, while others have to work a little harder to get where they want. I would say focus and determination are very important. Another key point is to know what one is capable of”
QB is doing a wonderful job, she recently did the soundtrack of ‘Humsafar‘ a tv serial which comes on Hum Tv. She has been really lucky to get these kind of opportunities at the start of her career, we wish her further success in her life.
