There has been rumors all around the media that the band is no more, or Farhan is leaving the band as Goher and Farhan had some fight. There was no confirmed news, until yesterday when Express Tribune reported that Farhan Saeed has left the band, and will not be singing anymore for the band.There was much news about their break-up was when we saw Farhan Saeed releasing his new solo song, which was the cover of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan famous qawalli ‘Yeh Jo Halka Halka Suroor Hai’. Not even that, the song wasn’t produced at their studio GMStudios, infact it was produced by a new producer, Saad Sultan at Sidereal Studios. Earlier Farheen also launched his official website along with his own official youtube channel. Which clearly shows that something is really cooking inside.
Anyways, Farhan publicly says there hasn’t been a fight, instead he says he has no hard feelings for other members.
Farhan told Express Tribune,
“When you’re in a band, it’s like being in a company where there is a board of directors and all decisions have to be made collectively,”
Then he further added,
“Being solo now is like being the owner of my own business. I can do the things I want and do them on my terms.”
Goher Mumtaz the actual founder of the band says,
want to wish Farhan a very best of luck for his solo career . as far as jal is concern, it will always be my first priority, no matter what else i do. Whatever i’m is just because of this band and i owe so much to JAL unconditionally and wld continue it for JAL .
Goher Mumtaz wishes good luck to Farhan Saeed for his solo career, whereas he also mentioned that Jal will always be my priority as whatever he is today is only because of Jal, which is true.
As soon as we got to know that Goher is starting his acting career, there has been much news about their band break-up, and Goher is merely focusing more on his acting career than focusing on the band. Where of course band members will not bare that, so Farhan left jal being the lead vocalist for the band.
The band was featured in this year’s Coke studio, because of that they were in much news all over. Jal has wide fan following, not only in Pakistan but India and other countries.
We will never want Jal to split, as there are only few good bands in Pakistan producing good music. Now the question comes who will be the vocalist for the band now. We will update you all as soon as we get to know about something like that.
We wish best of luck to Jal the band and Farhan Saeed for his solo career.
